With NM being at the bottom nationally in education performance outcomes and the huge amount of money invested with no improvement, it’s time to do something different in our community.
Will it be the status quo? Crabs in a bucket? or Give our students the opportunity for an exceptional and challenging educational experience?

Construction of the new Chaparral Middle School was discussed at the Feb 5, 2024 School Board meeting.
Cost and financing were also discussed. As of Jan 2024, the cost is $66.5M with an expected increase when submitted for bids.
