On September 27, 2022, an email was sent from APS School Board President, Judy Rabon, to City Commissioner, Sharon McDonald, regarding the upcoming City Commission meeting.
In this email, Judy Rabon was requesting that the City Commission NOT allow an Alamogordo citizen to publicly speak at an open public meeting.
Interestingly, however, Judy Rabon did not use the official APS email address. She instead used the email of her husband’s company, Mesa Verde Inc. Wait, what?
What is the thought behind using Mesa Verde’s email domain address? Was she trying, as an elected official, to hide the fact she wanted a citizen silenced? Was she trying to keep it personal so the email wouldn’t show up on an Alamogordo School IPRA search?
But also concerning – What is the opinion/stance of the owners of Mesa Verde? Is Mesa Verde, as a company, complicit in attempting to silence a private citizen? Are the owners behind this email address domain instructing Judy Rabon to write the email to the City Commission? Do the owners of Mesa Verde, Inc. think they have the power to silence citizens by proxy?
Who else does Mesa Verde want to silence?
So far all 3 founding members have been silent about the email and its contents. Why hasn’t Jeff Rabon, (Judy’s husband), Tim Rabon, or Randy Rabon made any public comments AGAINST this email? They know this email exists. Does quiet compliance make Mesa Verde liable as a co-conspirator?
